THE HELLENIC JOURNAL (DANVILLE) -- The Foundation for Modern Greek Studies and the Center for Modern Greek Studies co-sponsored an exciting week of theatrical performances by Yiannis Simonides of Elliniko Theatro of New York. The highlight of the week was the performance of “Socrates Now” at San Francisco State University on November 2, 2016. The theatre, which holds 330 seats, could not contain all who arrived to see the performance. More than 100 theatergoers, many of whom were students from various departments at San Francisco State University, were required to sit on the sides of the large stage, making for an amazingly packed house.
