Professor Tuman: The Buzz Will Be 'About What Comey Is Going to Say'

Thursday, June 08, 2017

SAN FRANCISCO CHRONICLE -- The seven-page document, released by the Senate Intelligence Committee at Comey’s request, details meetings and phone calls the former FBI director had with Trump before the president fired him May 9. It’s guaranteed to pump up the already intense interest in Thursday morning’s hearing, which is expected to be broadcast live on cable and broadcast television networks beginning at 7am.

“It’s absolutely going to make a huge difference with everyone watching,” said Joe Tuman, a professor of political and legal communications at San Francisco State University. “And it’s not going to be so much about the questions (the senators on the intelligence committee) are going to ask, but about what Comey is going to say.”
